Lifeteen is designed for high school students (9th-12th grade) to not only come to a deeper understanding of their Catholic faith as a young adult, but to also build community and true dicipleship with their peers. Lifeteen will afford participants the chance to dive into practical applications of their faith though leadership opportunities, mission trips, community service, deanery retreats, and involvement in parish life.  Youth group meets at 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. pm on Sundays in the school.

Why should I register my child for LifeTeen? Isn't youth group just a place to hang out?

LifeTeen is a lot  more than "just" a youth group. We provide a systematic catechesis (fancy word for religious education) that is consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church. Each semster will cover a different theme (Creed, Morality, Sacraments, etc.) that is bolstered by both fellowship (Social Nights) and real-world discussion (Issue Nights). We also provide opportunities to experience and connect to the larger community within the Carmel Deanery, which includes other parishes like Our Lady of Grace in Noblesville, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Carmel, and Holy Spirit at Geist in Indianapolis, just to name a few. Some youth groups may "just" be a place to hang out, but St. Johns' LifeTeen program is not one of those places. We strive to provide a meaningful spiritual growth for participants with fun and fellowship!

St. John the Baptist is committed to providing for the spiritual growth and catechesis of the youth of Tipton. Registration for this youth program is FREE.
